Having been awarded The Knot's prestigious,  review-based Best of Weddings Award for eight consecutive years (2013-2020, 2022), I am also a proud member of The Knot's Hall of Fame; this places me in the top 2% of wedding professionals nationwide.  Currently, I am one of the few Wedding Officiants in the greater Chicago area who is both in the Hall of Fame and a recipient of the annual Best of Weddings Awards, and who also offers pre-marital coaching.

If you told us a year ago, that we would be ecstatic to be married over Zoom, it would be a really great joke! To say the least, COVID-19 has made for an interesting time to get married. Our December date for our destination wedding turned out to very optimistic and was rescheduled. Although all the planning for the dream wedding turned out to be futile, we still wanted to move forward with our lifelong commitment on our anniversary in 2021. After scrambling for weeks to find ANY venue during tier 3 mitigations (including all the county courthouses!!!), we leaned into the idea of a Zoom wedding about a week before. While we contacted many officiants, Dr. Stewart was the most responsive, easiest to talk to, straightforward, and was not overselling.
Honestly, we thought we wanted to "just make it official," but so grateful we did not do a courthouse wedding. Dr. Stewart sent a worksheet and incorporated it into a beautiful script. Honestly, it inspired us to see it as a celebration, not a legal transaction. Reflecting on our journey before the ceremony galvanized us to make the most of it.
After our long saga, we were married in our backyard next to the firepit, snow, and in the presence of our dog virtually! It felt like Dr. Stewart knew us, our struggle, and was right there to support us in our journey to married life. Also a plus, free recording over Zoom! Thank you so much for making this the easiest and nicest experience during the pandemic!

Elizabeth did an excellent job at our wedding. We had to do a zoom wedding in lieu of our planned event. Elizabeth coordinated with us before hand to make sure the ceremony would go smoothly, and it did! Would recommend!

My husband and I wanted a brief ceremony, because we postponed our wedding due to COVID. We plan on saving the elaborate ceremony on our new wedding date. We were a little confused on the marriage process (one minute we wanted to marry in TN and then we found out the limitations), so Elizabeth explained to us what needed to happen. Elizabeth was very flexible and helped us quickly get a ceremony after we got our license. She made it very fun and memorable, even when we asked for a short ceremony. We would recommend her to a friend or family member

Elizabeth was absolutely amazing to work with! We are so grateful we found her. From our first conversation, we knew that she would be a great fit for the type of wedding ceremony we were looking for. She was professional, organized, and quick to respond. We loved that we got to meet and collaborate all of our ideas into a unique ceremony script. Our ceremony was very special to us with the perfect amount of humor and story telling. Elizabeth did a grab time gaining and holding our guests attention. We laughed and cried together the whole time and it is something we will never forget.

We had a great experience with Elizabeth. We had a phone call, then an in person meeting and many email and phone call follow ups to make sure everything we wanted included in our ceremony was there. She really listened to what we wanted and created a One of a Kind ceremony for us. She included a lot of personal details and really intertwined Catholic and Jewish elements that were important to both of us. Would highly recommend her to others trying to figure out a interfaith ceremony. We hope to keep in touch with her as well!

We first "met" Dr. Stewart at a wedding she was officiating for a close friend. We really enjoyed her ceremony, and the detail she portrayed about the couple. We decided to hire her initially as a marriage coach. Dr. Stewart was a joy to work with and set the tone for our union. She is thoughtful, attentive, caring and offered useful advice/ insight that as a couple we value and will use indefinitely. One of the most valuable aspects of her coaching is that she tailors to your needs as a couple, giving you PROACTIVE ways to approach or solve things before they become an issue. She helps you think of things that may not have already come up between you and your significant other and how these may shape your relationship. There is no imposed agenda on her part, which allows the sessions to flow with your needs as a couple. Dr. Stewart's services laid a strong foundation for our union and communication. She emphasized learning to think as a "we" and putting each other first in our marriage. She is intuitive and modern in her thinking and offers "tools" one can use throughout their lives again and again. She is also very flexible with scheduling and takes great care and detail to get to know you two as individuals and as a couple. This is very important as her services are not one size fits all or generic, they are truly tailored to the people she works with. Her services are timeless and I foresee coming back to her throughout the years to continue to strengthen our marriage. After coaching, we decided to hire Dr. Stewart to officiate our civil ceremony. She again tailored our ceremony to our needs and gave it style and elevation through her eloquent expression of love in the context of what it meant to us.She helped us think of ways to include our family and have the ceremony resonate with our true selves. I give Dr. Stewart my highest recommendation as I think anyone would be pleased with her and the dedication she portrays in her work for her clients.

Elizabeth created the most beautiful wedding ceremony for my husband and I. Guests could not stop talking about how beautiful and unique our ceremony was. She met with us twice before writing our ceremony script and had us fill out an intake form to really get to know us. She really had us down to a tee! Her address was absolutely beautiful and tailored so perfectly to us. Guests even stated they felt like they really got to know us during our ceremony. Elizabeth included humor in the ceremony that really lightened things up considering it was 90 degrees during our outdoor ceremony. Her voice sounds beautiful and soothing. I couldn’t have picked a better officiant for our special day!
